Imphal, Sep 4: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh said to keep the state police personnel fit, they will provide more trainings on physical fitness.
Talking to media persons, CM N. Biren Singh said, “Our state police forces are equipped to handle any situation. We will send them anywhere in Manipur. Even 200 state police personnel were deployed in Moreh, and more troops will be heading towards the area.”
“Our state police forces are retaliating against the miscreants. Our government has been challenging the drug traders of the Golden Triangle, who have created problems in Manipur. It’s a long war against drugs, and our government is committed to ending the drug trade in the state,” N. Biren Singh said.
He further added, “We don’t care what miscreants are saying because our vision and goals are steadfast. We would not bow down against the miscreants who want to see the state in trouble. Moreh is a part of India and its our priority to keep the place safe from anti-social elements,”.
At least 150 people have been killed and over 400 have been wounded in the violence that began in May.
More than 60,000 people have been forced from their homes as the army, parliamentary forces, and police struggle to quell violence.
