Shillong, Mar 27: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has assured the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) of the government’s necessary support to facilitate amendments to its rules and clear pending salaries of council employees.
The assurance was given to a delegation of MDCs led by the chief executive member (CEM) Thombor Shiwat after a meeting held on Thursday.

“Assured necessary support to the JHADC from the government to enable it to fulfill its mandate and uphold its commitments to the people and its employees,” Sangma posted on X.
Hon’ble CEM and Hon’ble MDCs of the JHADC called on me today.
Discussion were held regarding the amendment to JHADC rules and the payment of pending salaries for Council employees.
