Missing man’s body found in Mylliem after 2 weeks, family seeks PM exemption: EKH SP

Shillong, Jul 27: A man who went missing about two weeks ago was found dead in Mylliem on Monday, police confirmed.

East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem said the body was identified as M Kurkalang and was recovered from 12 Mer with assistance from the SRT.

“We have registered a UD case. He had gone out for work and did not return,” Syiem said.

The SP said the family does not suspect any foul play in the death.

“The family members do not suspect anyone and they have asked for post-mortem exemption,” he added.

Police said necessary formalities are underway following the recovery.
