Agartala, Mar 15: Two teenagers from Tripura who were missing since March 7, were found at a Mumbai railway station on March 12, 2024. They have been identified as Omkar Chakraborty and Prithvi Devavarma. They were brought back to Agartala on Thursday by a two-member Tripura Police team.
According to police, the teenagers had left home for their tuition classes on March 7 but did not return home. The parents filed a missing person case at the Tripura police station. With the cooperation of the Mumbai Police, the Tripura Police successfully located the boys at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, West Tripura Superintendent of police Kiran Kumar K said that the minor boys, both students of class 8, were reunited with their parents upon their return.
Tripura chief minister Manik Saha and Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and IG Intelligence had been actively involved in monitoring the situation.
