Must read

Tura, July 16: The Meghalaya Lawn Bowls Association (MLBA) has invited interested men and women from the Garo Hills region to take up Lawn Bowls, a precision sport that will feature in the 39th National Games 2027.

Lawn Bowls is played on a flat grass or synthetic surface where players roll slightly weighted bowls with the aim of getting them as close as possible to a smaller target ball known as the “jack.”

The sport emphasizes accuracy, strategy and consistency rather than physical strength, making it suitable for people of all ages.
