Kohima, July 18: A one-day Sensitisation Programme on Skill Development will be organise at the town hall in Mokokchung on July 22.
The Ao Officers’ Telungjem (AOT), in collaboration with the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), Government of Nagaland is jointly organising the programme.
The programme, held under the theme “Know Your Skills, Know Your Opportunities,” will focus on helping young people understand the various skill development schemes, training opportunities and entrepreneurship avenues available to them.
Resource persons from NSEDM and other agencies will interact with participants and provide guidance on career choices, skill-based employment and self-employment opportunities.
The programme is expected to benefit youth by helping them identify suitable skills, learn about available training and government support schemes, and explore opportunities to start their own businesses or improve their employability.
A key feature of the programme will be the opportunity for participants to receive direct guidance from experts and get information on possible career pathways and entrepreneurship support.
An on-the-spot help desk and registration facility for future training programmes will also be available, enabling interested participants to enrol for upcoming skill development opportunities.
Youth aged 14 years and above are eligible to attend. Interested participants may register through the ABAM Youth Ministry, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), Ao Lanur Telungjem (ALT), and Women Entrepreneurs Mokokchung (WEM).
