Shillong, Sept 13: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya has secured the 1st position among all the newly set up NITs that started functioning since 2010. Also, the institute is ranked 14th among all 31 NITs of the country.

Further, the institute has improved its ranking by two spots to secure the 59th rank as per the list released by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) published by Department of Education (DoE), Government of India for the year 2021 for engineering institutions across the country.

Last year the institute secured 61st position in the same category.

In the NIRF-2021 process, NIT Meghalaya has surpassed many old and established NITs and other renowned institutes with its rapid infrastructural, academic and all-round growth.

Director of the institute, Prof. B.B. Biswal in his message expressed heartfelt thanks and congratulated all stakeholders for this success and uphold their spirit for even better rank next year.
