SHILLONG, FEB 12: The National Level Monitoring Team, comprising Dr Mihir Mondal (NLM, DAHD) and Dr Mahesh Katara arrived in Shillong on Thursday to review and assess the progress of various centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) implemented by the state’s Animal Husbandry & Veterinary department.
“The visit aims to strengthen monitoring mechanisms, ensure transparency and accountability, and provide constructive feedback for further improvement of livestock development programmes in Meghalaya,” said Dr A Chyne, Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department.
The team will review the progress of Centrally Sponsored Schemes, including Rashtriya Gokul Mission, National Livestock Mission, and Livestock Health & Disease Control Programme.
The NLM Team will visit project sites in East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, and West Garo Hills districts, interacting with beneficiaries and assessing the schemes’ impact from February 12-16, 2026.
