Ampati, March 2: All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) candidate Miani D. Shira won the 53-Ampati (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency seat while Sanjay A Sangma and Ian Botham K Sangma of National People’s Party (NPP) won the 54-Mahendraganj (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency and the 55-Salmanpara (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency seats respectively.

The Returning Officers of the respective LA Constituencies handed over the winner’s certificates to the victorious candidates in the presence of the District Election Officer G. Kharmawphlang and the General Observer Sanjeev Shrivastava.
