Shillong, June 24: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has to adjourned the House after the opposition leader Titostarwell Chyne raised objection against the VPP-led executive committee’s decision to include the supplementary demands in the full budget for the financial year 2025-2026.
Before the Executive Member in-charge Finance Seiborlang Warbah could table the full budget estimated at Rs 227.53 crore during the summer session, which commenced here on Tuesday, Chyne raised his objection citing “including the supplementary demands in the budget was not acceptable”.
Following debates, the chairman of the KHADC decided to adjourn the House till 1 pm, to allow the EC to come back with necessary clarification before going ahead with tabling of the full budget for 2025-2.
