Kohima, July 15: Farmers from Nagaland’s Phek district joined the ICAR–CSR Conclave 2026 virtually on Wednesday, giving them an opportunity to directly share their views and challenges with policymakers through a real-time national feedback platform.
The conclave, held at the National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC) in New Delhi, was attended by Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Minister of State Bhagirath Choudhary.
The virtual participation of farmers from Phek was coordinated by the ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Phek.
Using the Pan-India Real-Time Feedback Loop System, farmers submitted their suggestions and feedback through mobile phones, enabling them to contribute directly to discussions on agricultural policies and programmes.
Officials said the interactive platform allowed farmers to highlight ground-level challenges, connect with national agricultural initiatives and ensure that local concerns are reflected in policy formulation.
KVK Phek said the initiative demonstrated how digital technology can bridge the gap between remote farming communities and policymakers, ensuring that the voices of farmers from districts like Phek are heard while shaping the future of Indian agriculture.
