Shillong, June 26: A local court in Shillong on Thursday remanded the three individuals arrested recently to six days of police custody for their alleged involvement in destroying crucial evidence related to the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi.
Assistant Public Prosecutor Tushar Chanda informed about the court’s decision after the three accused were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate.

One of the arrested, Lokendra Singh Tomar, a resident of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, was apprehended on Monday. Tomar is the landlord of a flat at Dewas Naka where Sonam Raghuvanshi, the primary accused in the murder case, had reportedly sought refuge while hiding in Indore.
Additionally, Shilom James, a property dealer who rented a flat to Vishal Singh Chauhan (another main accused in the case), and Balbir Ahirwar alias Ballu, a security guard at the apartment complex where the flat is located, were arrested on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
All three are accused of concealment and destroying evidence pertinent to the case.
