Tura, Dec 31: In a notable act of community outreach, the Tribal Nation Riders MC (West Chapter) organised a charity programme on December 30 at the remote Tosinpara village under Tirkikilla Block in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills district, near the North Garo Hills border.
Located around 80 kilometres from Tura, Tosinpara is difficult to access due to its remote terrain and limited connectivity.
During the outreach, club members distributed basic essential items to villagers, aiming to support underserved communities and strengthen the spirit of social responsibility.
Residents of the village expressed gratitude for the initiative, describing it as timely and meaningful, especially given the logistical challenges involved in reaching the area.
Club officials said the funds for the outreach were raised through a motocross event organised by the West Chapter in September 2025 at Dodinangre near Tura. The event, while promoting motorsports culture in the region, was also designed as a fundraiser to support community welfare initiatives.
With this programme, the Tribal Nation Riders MC (West Chapter) reiterated that biker culture can extend beyond adventure and recreation, serving as a platform for collective action and positive social change in Meghalaya’s remote regions.
