Tura, Aug 8: The Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) today said that close to Rs. 133 Cr has been released by the State Government in the past three years from the share of royalty from major and minor minerals including share of motor vehicle tax.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the Executive Committee GHADC detailed on the receipt of shares of royalty from the State Government of Meghalaya for the financial years 2021-2025.

A. Share of Motor Vehicle Tax from 2021 to 2025
FY 2021-22: Rs. 3,11,477/-
FY 2022-23: NIL
FY 2023-24: Rs. 8,85,16,607/-
FY 2024-25: Rs. 8,99,77,533/-
Total: Rs. 17,88,05,617/-
B. Share of royalty of major and minor minerals from 2021-2025
FY 2021-22: (i) Rs. 1,70,34,300/- (ii) Rs. 20,00,00,000/- (iii) Rs. 20,00,00,000/-
FY 2022-23: (i) Rs. 25,00,00,000/- (ii) Rs. 17,74,61,349/- (iii) Rs. 2,25,38,651/-
FY 2023-24: (i) Rs. 2,67,61,493/- (ii) Rs. 4,46,31,331/- (iii) Rs. 87,56,234/- & (iv) Rs. 10,73,84,000/-
FY 2024-25: Rs. 9,66,21,000/-
Total: Rs. 115,11,88,358/-
