SHILLONG, NOV 27: The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District, has issued a public notice informing commuters that the stretch of road from 5th Mile Junction to Air Force Station Gate, Shillong Peak, will be closed from 10 pm to 6 am from November 29 to December 1, 2025, due to ongoing construction work under the Shillong Dawki Road Project.

According to the notice, only emergency vehicles and authorized service vehicles will be permitted to pass during the closure period.

Necessary safety measures, including signage and barricades, will be arranged by the executing agency.

“We request all commuters to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the traffic authorities,” said the notice.
