Shillong, June 10: The Meghalaya police have revealed that Sonam Raghuvanshi and three accused individuals murdered Raja Raghuvanshi in broad daylight at Wei Sawdong Falls.

According to East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem, Sonam took her husband and the three accused to Wei Sawdong Falls, where the contract killer murdered Raja in front of her. The SP informed that Sonam was in constant touch with Raj, who was in contact with the other three accused during the couple’s trip to Sohra.

The police investigation has found that the three other accused stayed overnight in a different homestay at Nongriat and were seen together while climbing up the steps leading to Mawlakhiat. “Our investigation was based on facts and evidence, and we headed in that direction only,” the SP added.

The police plan to file a chargesheet against all the accused in the case in a record time.

Sonam’s phone is yet to be traced and recovered. “Sonam found an opportune moment to commit the crime in Sohra,” the SP said.
