Tura, Aug 05: The thrilling final match of the Women’s Division Basketball Tournament took place on Saturday at the Christian Girls Higher Secondary School’s basketball court in Tura, organized by the Tetengkol Youth Club in collaboration with the District Basketball Association.

The event was graced by the presence of Lonerson Ch Marak, Co-Chairman of Meghalaya State Health and Family Welfare Advisory Board.

The much-anticipated final match was contested between the Surmount girls’ team and the Salgro 13 team. Both teams displayed exceptional skill and talent on the court, treating the spectators to a mesmerizing spectacle of basketball.

Throughout the match, both Surmount and Salgro 13 demonstrated their prowess, engaging in fierce competition.

In the end, the Surmount girls’ team emerged victorious, securing a narrow but nonetheless a crucial 3 point lead over Salgro 13 to claim the title and were crowned champions of the Women’s Division Basketball Tournament. Surmount secured 25-points while Salgro 13 secured 22 points!
