Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday highlighted the rapid growth of the bamboo sector in Northeast India during the 133rd episode of Mann Ki Baat, describing it as a key driver of employment, innovation, and local enterprise.

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, today declared that Northeast India will be a cornerstone of the nation’s clean energy revolution, describing the region as “India’s Ashtalakshmi of Green Power”.
