Addressing the Tripura Legislative Assembly on the third day on Tuesday, Chief Minister Saha highlighted the government's commitment to supporting its workforce, even during challenging times such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Manik Saha, the Chief Minister of Tripura, announced on Friday that the Maitri Setu, an emblem of India-Bangladesh friendship, is likely to commence operations in September. The bridge spans the Feni river, connecting Sabroom town in Tripura with Ramghar in Bangladesh and with its operation the state shall get access to the Chittagong sea port, which is around 72 Kms away from the southern border of Tripura.
Dr. Saha was speaking at the programme of ‘Plastic Mukta Tripura Abhijan’ at Town Hall organised by Tripura State Pollution Control Board under the Science and Technology Department.
