With the last date for CUET applications over, the student's name was not found in the list over alleged non payment of the fees prompting a protest against the cafe operator.
The state had proposed five CUET examination centers for the undergraduate level, however, the NTA said that additional centres will be established only if the volume of students increase.
He also said that the Meghalaya government have requested GoI to consider to set up CUET centres in all 12 (twelve) Districts of Meghalaya in the institutions which possess adequate infrastructure and testing facilities for CUET examination.
Sangma said during his official visit to the national capital, he would also meet the union education minister to discuss the issues related to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
“It is my humble request to your good office to kindly intervene into the matter and issue necessary directions to NTA to make alternative arrangements in respect of the students of Meghalaya,” Sangma said in his letter to Pradhan.
