In an effort to celebrate the abundance of quality bananas in the North Garo Hills region as well as to promote banana and its products, the first phase of the ‘Banana Festival’ was held at Bajengdoba C&RD Block in Gokulgre Village on Wednesday. The event showcased the diverse range of banana products while promoting their pivotal role as major suppliers to neighbouring states, particularly Assam.
A day after a scuffle broke out between some students of the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) and a mob on Monday night in Hostel no.19 (Rangira). Following a minor argument, one of the students in conversation with Hub News narrated the whole incident.Â
