In a significant anti-infiltration operation carried out in the early hours of Tuesday, Assam’s security forces identified and pushed back 16 illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators along the international border.
The State government on Monday directed the landlords and tenants from seven localities in Shillong to register in the app as mandated by the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act (MRSSA) 2016, which seeks to check illegal infiltration into the state.
