The Congress on Friday accused the ruling BJP of attempting to disenfranchise voters in Assam’s Biswanath Assembly constituency by falsely declaring living electors as deceased, triggering a fresh political storm ahead of upcoming electoral exercises.
Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi on Saturday lashed out at BJP and termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government as ‘most rhetorical’. He alleged the BJP has opened liquor shops in villages to destroy the youth.
