A worsening power crisis in Dadenggre has triggered widespread public anger, with residents reporting up to 10–20 unannounced electricity cuts daily, severely disrupting households, education, and local businesses.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Tuesday said the government will have to spend an additional Rs 300 crore to buy power if the present situation continues in the next 100 days.
