Hailakandi Police in Assam apprehended an illegal money lender, Tapan Nath (48), from Sarbanandapur village last night. The arrest was made following a written complaint received by the police.
The Reserve Bank of India on Friday informed that they have decided to keep the policy rate unchanged at 6.5 per cent for the fifth time in a row, citing a vigilant stance on inflation.
According to the official press release by the RBI on September 30, 2023, it was announced that due to the expiration of the withdrawal period, the current arrangement for depositing or exchanging Rs 2,000 banknotes would be extended until October 7, 2023.
