Boko, Aug 18: A shocking incident occurred near Bamunigaon Railway Station in Boko, where three women lost their lives after being hit by a train.

The deceased have been identified as Uttara Das (50), Rumi Das (35), and Karabi Mali (35) — all residents of No. 2 Satabari in Boko. The tragedy struck while they were out on a morning walk.

The accident took place near Gate No. 240, close to Bamunigaon Railway Station, when two trains were crossing the area simultaneously. At that moment, the Ujanimukha Puri Express and an NMG goods train were passing through. The women were struck by the Guwahati-bound Puri Express, leaving their bodies mutilated on the spot.

So far, nearly 20 people have lost their lives in train accidents along the Kamakhya–Jogighopa railway line. Boko Police have reached the scene and are handling the situation.
