Guwahati, Apr 7: Tripura police have launched investigation into the alleged suicide of an housewife after her lover posted some of their intimate photos online.

According to police, the housewife was found hanging at home in Durjoynagar area of the city under Airport police station.

The woman had developed an extra-martial relationship with a man of the same locality after her marriage.

“The man clicked some of their intimate photos when the woman trying to come out from the relationship and posted in social media,” said a source.

No arrest was made so far but police have been questioning a couple of people, including the woman’s friend and her family members.

His husband lodged a complaint against the accused for defaming her and for abetment to suicide.
