Detailed preparations are in place for the counting of votes at ISBT Tura for the 11 Assembly segments. Officials have been directed to report at 6 AM, with counting set to begin at 8 AM. Entry points will be restricted, with two main doors operational for observers and returning officers, while the remaining eight doors will accomodate other officials. Speaking to Hub News Nipon Hajong, ADC (Election)WGH briefed about the elaborate arrangements for the counting day. According to Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines, mobile phones are prohibited, with only a few officials permitted to carry them for operational purposes. Sitting arrangements have been meticulously set, and ECI officials have expressed satisfaction with the setup after a thorough inspection. A briefing meeting was also conducted to ensure all officials are well-informed. Security arrangements have been made in accordance with ECI guidelines, with vehicle entry restricted post 7:30 AM. Security personnel, along with a magistrate, will man the main gate. Data from other districts will be compiled using the ECI Encore app. Provisions for uninterrupted power and internet supply are also in place to ensure smooth operations. A total of 132 officials will be present on counting day, with results expected to be declared by 6 PM.
