Guwahati, April 14: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that BJP is expecting tough competition in only three constituencies out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam.

Sarma stated that the focus for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Assam will be on the Nagaon, Karimganj and Dhubri constituencies.

Speaking to reporters, Assam CM said, “In my assessment, during the first phase, there are five Lok Sabha constituencies where there won’t be much competition,”.

“The real contest will unfold in Nagaon, Karimganj, and Dhubri constituencies. The remaining constituencies are not expected to be fiercely contested,” Sarma stated.
