SHILLONG, FEB 26: The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, HE M Riaz Hamidullah, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Thomas A. Sangma, on Thursday.
“The interaction was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, underscoring the spirit of mutual respect and continued engagement between Bangladesh and the State of Meghalaya,” said Assembly officials.
During the meeting, the Speaker presented HE Hamidullah with a coffee table book and traditional gifts of Meghalaya as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation.
Deputy Speaker Limison D. Sangma, Secretary of the Assembly Malthus S Sangma, and Adviser (Legislation) Dr Andrew Simons were among those present.
