Must read

Tura, April 19: Shocked and left in the wilderness by his MDC colleague from Barengapara who went over to the NPP led alliance to pledge support, the Tura MDC led faction of the BJP, the Tura City District Committee, has written a letter to BJP state president demanding expulsion of Pramod Koch from the party.

The decision by Koch to support the NPP-led alliance of the Garo Hills Democratic Coalition has angered the Tura BJP unit which has threatened to resign en masse unless he is sacked from the party.

In a letter to the BJP state president Ernest Mawrie, general secretary of the Tura City District Committee- BJP Wilbur Greham M Danggo charged Pramod Koch of betraying the Garo community by aligning with the NPP and demanded he be fired from the party.

“We, the members of the BJP, Tura City District Committee, under which Koch was elected as an MDC have found his actions amounting to anti party activities as he did not stand with the party principles and ideology. He has gone against the party manifesto by joining the GHDC without our consent,” stated the letter by the TCDC of the BJP in their letter to Mawrie and threatened resignation of its members and karyakarthas unless stern action was taken.
