Shillong, Nov 25: Taking cognizance of the growing rift between the NPP and State BJP unit in Meghalaya, the central leadership of BJP has stepped in to ensure that the MDA alliance remains intact and to quell off any misunderstandings between the two.
BJP Meghalaya in-charge, M Chuba Ao along with Health Minister and BJP legislator AL Hek on Wednesday met Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma to sort out the differences.
The BJP state in-charge also had marathon meeting at BJP State office in Shillong on Wednesday. Vowing to be in the Government till the end of the term, the State BJP said it has sidelined all differences.
After repeatedly alleging corruption charges against the Government, BJP Meghalaya in-charge M Chuba Ao feels the matter is hyped as he termed it a petty issue.
Meanwhile, the MDA meeting, scheduled to be held on Thursday, is expected to discuss on these issues apart from hearing suggestion from alliance partners.
