Tura, Oct 26: A daily public bus that ferries passengers from Mahendraganj to Tura met with an accident at Damalgre, south west garo hills jurisdiction on Wednesday morning causing minor injuries to some passengers.

The driver of the bus was reportedly speeding when he lost control of the vehicle.

The bus rolled backwards and fell into a ditch with the back portion of the vehicle barepy hanging on to the road.

Eye witnesses say the bus ML08 C 6683 was travelling at extreme high speed before it met with an accident.

It was bringing passengers from the border town of Mahendranganj to Tura.
