Shillong, Dec 31: After a year-long wait and a postponement in 2022 owing to the Mukroh incident, the eagerly awaited Mega Music Finale finally took place on Saturday at the Cherry Blossom New Year Countdown 2023, hosted at Polo Ground in Shillong.
The event’s grand finale witnessed electrifying performances from five finale standout artists:
Dappest x Adl: Known for their unique blend of genres and magnetic stage presence.
Rum and Monkeys: A band that never fails to deliver high-energy performances and has amassed a loyal fanbase.
Larger than 90: Celebrated for their nostalgic tunes that resonate with audiences across generations.
Symphonic Illusions: Pushing the boundaries of conventional music into metal.
Rijune: A rising star whose soulful voice and emotive performances captivate listeners.
The stakes were high for the performers as the winner of the Mega Music Festival was set to receive a staggering cash prize of 25 lakhs rupees. Additionally, the victorious artist will also embark on an international tour, marking a significant milestone in their musical journey.
Adding to the festival’s allure, the Cherry Blossom Music Festival will also feature the renowned Jamaican-American singer, Sean Kingston. Known for his chart-topping hits such as “Beautiful Girls” and “Fire Burning” at new year’s eve 2023 at polo ground itself.
