Tura, Feb 17: With the elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) scheduled to be held on April 9, the opposition Congress has announced the final lists of candidates.

In the final lists announced on Wednesday, the opposition Congress cleared the name of 12 candidates.

Earlier, a week back, the party declared its first lists where 17 names were declared. With this, it became the first party to announce candidates for all 29 seats.

The candidates whose name appeared in the final lists include are James Sangma from Babelapara constituency, Malcolm M Sangma – Rochonpara, Agassi R Marak – Balachanda, Ashahel D Shira – Batabari, Habibuz Zaman – Shyamnagar, Joyson R Marak – Raksamgre, Levastone T Sangma – Jengjal, Stevie M Marak – Boldamgre, Jagadish Ch Hajong – Zikzak, Sanjay Koch – Betasing, Manseng Momin – Bolsong and Lahitson M Sangma Samandagre.
