Nongstoiñ, Sept 21: In a tragic development, a couple was found dead on Tuesday morning at their residence in Mawiaban Siejlieh village under Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills district.

The incident came to light after the bodies of the couple were recovered from the house they were living in by the neighbours. The wife’s body was lying in the bed whilst the husband was hanging from the ceiling. A newly born baby, left behind by the couple, was also found in the same house alive and is being temporarily taken care of by the Nongstoiñ Police.

On being informed, the Police rushed to the spot to investigate about the bizzare incident. No official statement has been made by the Police on the incident being a murder or a case of suicide.
