SHILLONG, FEB 6: The East Khasi Hills district administration has reconstituted the Local Complaints Committee to implement the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The committee, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner D Kharshiing, will receive complaints of sexual harassment from establishments where the Internal Complaints Committee has not been constituted or where the complaint is against the employer.

The committee includes representatives from various blocks and NGOs, and will hold office for a period of three years.
