‘Fed-Up Nagas’ youth rally shifted to Agri-Expo venue amid expectation of massive turnout

Must read

Dimapur, June 25: Anticipating an overwhelming response from across Nagaland, organisers of the “Fed-Up Nagas” mass youth rally have shifted the venue from Dimapur’s Super Market area to the Agri-Expo site at 4th Mile, Chumoukedima.

The rally, scheduled for Saturday, June 27, will now be held from 1 pm to 4 pm, instead of the earlier timing of 11 am, following an official directive from the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur.

According to Team Fed-Up Nagas, the changes were made after a review of traffic management, public convenience and safety concerns, as well as in view of the “massive response from across the state.”

The organisers said the move to the larger Agri-Expo venue would enable a “strictly disciplined, peaceful and massive assembly without disrupting public utility services.”

“This change of ground does not alter our vision; it only gives us a larger expanse to unite our voices,” the committee said in a public appeal.

The group said the new venue would accommodate supporters arriving from different districts and neighbouring areas, allowing for systematic parking and participation in “unprecedented numbers.”

The rally, being held under the banner “Hear the Youth. Honour the Truth,” is seeking an “immediate, time-bound roadmap for a secure future and transparency for the next generation of Nagas.”
Organisers have urged citizens, student bodies, civil society organisations and youth volunteers to take note of the revised venue and timing and coordinate travel arrangements accordingly.

Participants have been advised to reach the Agri-Expo site by 12.30 pm to ensure the programme begins on schedule.
The rally has gained significant attention across Nagaland, particularly as it comes at a time of renewed public discourse on the Naga political issue and growing calls from youth groups for greater transparency and a clear roadmap for the future.
