Tura, Aug 21: The Garo Student Union (GSU) and Garoland State Movement Committee (GSMC), Zikzak regional unit, have submitted a complaint letter to the South West Garo Hills, Mahendraganj police station, against the illegal supply of logs from Koraitola to Assam.
The complaint letter was submitted to the Mahendraganj police station on Monday, (August 21).
In their written complaint letter, they informed the station that the vehicle that was being used to illegally supply logs from Koraitola to Assam has been detained by the two pressure groups (GSU and GSMC), Zikzak regional unit from South West Garo Hills district.
The vehicle that has been detained is the Mahindra pick-up bearing registration number ML_08-7398 of Menerul Miah from Pokirgath Assam.
They also informed that the vehicle had no documents.
