ICFAI University Organizes Career Counseling Program at Garobadha Higher Secondary School

Tura, May 17: ICFAI University Meghalaya, Tura Campus, conducted a Career Counseling Program for Class XII students at Garobadha Higher Secondary School on Friday. The initiative is part of the university’s initiatives to guide students towards successful and fulfilling career paths. To empower them with essential knowledge and insights to navigate career choices effectively.

Experienced professionals and academic experts from ICFAI University led the initiative, the program provided students with valuable information on various career options, emerging industry trends, and the importance of making informed decisions regarding their educational and professional journeys. Through interactive sessions and one-on-one consultations, students explored their interests, strengths, and aspirations, enabling them to make well-informed decisions about their future careers.

Dr. Brenda D. Marak, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, discussed career opportunities in various industries and highlighted the courses offered by the university that nurtures entrepreneurship skills and business-led career opportunities. Sumit Dey, Assistant Professor and Head of the IT Department, elaborated on career exploration in IT industries and developing project-making skills. He also informed the students about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and engaged with them in fruitful interactive sessions.

“We are delighted to have conducted this Career Counselling Program at Garobadha Higher Secondary School and interacted with the students to guide them towards a bright and successful future,” said Muktadul Hussain, Senior Administrative Officer at ICFAI University Meghalaya, Tura Campus. ”

The program received a positive response from students, teachers, and school administration, the participants received valuable insights and guidance through the sessions. ICFAI University aims to instil confidence and direction in young individuals, to enable them to realize their full potential and achieve their aspirations.
