Indore murder case: Victim’s mother demands death penalty if Daughter-in-law found guilty

Must read

Shillong, June 9: In a shocking twist to the murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi, who was killed during his honeymoon trip in Meghalaya, his mother Uma Raghuvanshi has broken her silence, demanding the harshest punishment for those responsible — including her daughter-in-law, if proven guilty.

Speaking to the media, Uma said, “Those responsible should get the death penalty. If Sonam did this, then she too should be punished.” Her statement comes amid mounting evidence suggesting that Raja’s wife Sonam may have orchestrated the killing by hiring contract killers from Madhya Pradesh.

Uma expressed disbelief over the allegations, stating that Sonam always behaved well with the family and never showed any signs of tension. “We still can’t believe she could have done this… Even during phone calls, nothing seemed wrong,” she added.

Emphasizing her commitment to justice over personal attachment, Uma said, “I treated her like my own daughter. But if she got Raja killed, I want the harshest punishment — the death sentence. If she didn’t do it, I won’t falsely blame her.”
