After the meeting, the leaders informed that the Deputy Commissioner wasn’t able to assure that the Government would address the admission issue of the 150 students who are yet to get admission to Class XI and further delay will just be a loss for the students.

They also stated that this shows that the Government lacks the will power to address the issue at the earliest and is just buying time and giving excuses.

Following this they continued with their sit-in protest. However, the ADMs informed that this is illegal as they have occupied the parking space of the Office and obstructing the smooth functioning of the Office. After an altercation with the Officers from the District Administration, the Police personnel stepped in and removed the protesting leaders from the place and taken to the Jowai Police Station. The leaders who were removed from the place were Jordan Rymbai – President of JYF Jowai Circle, Ribok Biam – president of JSM Western Region, Oswald Nampui – President of JYF Saipung and Wellson RD Siangshai – President of JSM Eastern Region.
Till filing this report no FIR had been filed against the protestors.
