TURA, JULY 26: Meghalaya police have given a lookout notice in all police stations of the states and union territories for absconding Tura BJP MDC Bernard N Marak (Rimpu).

The Meghalaya police issued the lookout notice today to all police stations to detain Bernard Marak if sighted and to alert Meghalaya police.

The lookout is after Bernard refused to surrender and the District Sessions Court issued a non bailable arrest warrant against him on Monday in connection with a case of immoral trafficking at his farmhouse in February, this year, where a minor girl was repeatedly raped by a man.

Based on that sexual assault case, police raided his farmhouse on Friday, last week, and arrested 69 people and rescued six minors.

The raid led to recovery of illegal sale of alcohol, contraceptives such as condoms etc.
