SHILLONG, SEP 5: Police on Friday arrested Meban Snaitang, who allegedly posed as an official of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) and a company officer, for duping people with false promises of employment.
Snaitang, described by police as a “self-proclaimed imposter,” was apprehended in front of the Meghalaya Secretariat.

A senior officer said he had been swindling unsuspecting individuals by claiming to secure jobs through his connections.

During the arrest, police recovered air guns from his possession, while a number of bouncers were also found inside his vehicle.
An investigation has been launched to identify the extent of the fraud and possible victims.
