Shillong, Feb 2: Three KAM candidates – Angela Rangad (South Shillong), Wanpynhun Kharsyntiew (East Shillong), and Kyrsoibor Pyrtuh (North Shillong) filed their nominations on Thursday at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), East Khasi Hills, Shillong.

Accompanied by their supporters, Angela, Wanpynhun and Kyrsoibor took out a rally from their respective residences till the office of the DC.

Also on Thursday, UDP candidate and son of former MLA from Mawryngkneng constituency, Dr Osaphi S Jyrwa, filed his nomination for the upcoming assembly elections in the state scheduled to be held on February 27.

Jyrwa was accompanied by his supporters from Mawryngkneng till the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills in Shillong.

Jyrwa will be going up against NPP’s sitting MLA Pyniaid Sing Syiem.
