The Chief Minister said the decision was taken in line with the Supreme Court’s one-time regularisation framework for such cases. “This decision is in line with the Supreme Court’s one-time regularisation framework,” he said.

Sangma said that although the original sanction orders for these posts could not be traced, the government had verified the appointments through alternate records.

“Although the original sanction orders for these posts could not be traced, the Government verified their appointments through treasury records, salary payments, and official certification from the concerned departments,” he said.

He added that the move is part of the government’s effort to address pending ad hoc cases.

“With this approval, these 38 employees become the latest beneficiaries of the Government’s ongoing effort to resolve long-pending ad hoc appointments in a fair and transparent manner,” Sangma said.
