Shillong, Oct 18: Meghalaya Governor CH Vijayashankar has flagged off the first batch of students from Meghalaya selected for the Skill Development Program in various trades under AYUSH.

This initiative, supported by Zerodha under their CSR, aims to benefit thousands of underprivileged youth from the North Eastern states, including Meghalaya, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh.

The program, designed in partnership with Zerodha, offers comprehensive training in AYUSH trades, along with modules on spoken English, personality development, and financial literacy.

This holistic approach empowers participants with essential life skills to succeed in the modern wellness industry.

The initiative aligns with the Skill India and Atmanirbhar Bharat missions, focusing on creating employment opportunities in India’s growing wellness and traditional medicine sectors.

The Governor’s presence at the flag-off ceremony served as a major motivation for the students embarking on their transformative journey.

The program is expected to benefit a large number of underprivileged youth from the North Eastern states, providing them with skills and training in the AYUSH sector.

This initiative has the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of young people in the region, enabling them to pursue career opportunities in the growing wellness industry.
