Meghalaya police await post-mortem report in NEHU death case

SHILLONG, JAN 13: The state police are probing the recent death of Bipul Inghi, a casual employee at the School of Technology, NEHU, who died after falling during a party on campus.

According to East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem, Inghi was with friends, also NEHU staff, at the time of the incident, which occurred around 7:30 pm on January 6.

“We are waiting for the post-mortem report from Nongpoh to ascertain the injuries and determine whether they were homicidal or accidental,” Syiem told reporters on Tuesday.

“We have to examine statements and post-mortem reports (to establish the exact circumstances),” he stated.
