Meghalaya secures bid to host North-East Riders Meet (NERM) 2024 in Tura

Shillong, Dec 3: Meghalaya has successfully secured the bid to host the much-anticipated North-East Riders Meet (NERM) 2024 in the vibrant town of Tura.

This event is held every year for 3 – 5 days in the month of October or November or December.

The North-East Riders Meet serves as a platform for riders from across the northeastern states to come together, share experiences, and celebrate their love for motorcycles.

Rhino Riders Club hosted the first-ever edition in 2009 at Kaziranga, Assam, attracting 20 enthusiastic bikers.

The second edition was held in Arunachal Pradesh’s Mechuka where Riders and Club participation was seen from other parts of the country as well.

On November 11, the third edition was held at Sohra, Meghalaya [Cherrapunjee].  Around 183 bikers took part in this event.

So far 12 North-East Riders Meet has been organised, and the thirteenth edition of NERM will be hosted by the Black Hurricanes Motorcycle Club in Assam from the 1st of December 2023 to the 3rd of December, 2023.
