SHILLONG, JAN 30: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Transport Sniawbhalang Dhar announced that tenders have been floated for helipad construction in Tura and Shillong, with the allotment process underway.
“Tenders have been floated for Tura and Shillong and whether work has been allotted I am not very sure but it is under the process of allotment,” Dhar said.
Regarding land acquisition, Dhar stated it’s not an issue.

When asked about extending helipad services to other parts of the state, he said, “The ministry of transport told us let us do these two locations first and after that we are trying to do maybe in other district headquarters but not immediately but slowly we will extend the services to the different district headquarters as we need it also.”
